| Over the past three or four years, my summers have become book-ended with allergies. It's hayfever season, and my nose is letting me know. My eyes too, come to that. However, I fear that the allergies have progressed into a head cold, as I took an antihystamine (sp?) this morning and my symptoms are only getting worse. There always seems to be some sort of bug going around the office (that's what you get, I guess, working with people who are homeless), and I think I might be catching that. Oh well, not much I can do about it.
Looking forward very much to this weekend. I took off friday and tuesday, so because of the long weekend, I'm off for five days straight. I think it will be a break both needed and well-deserved. No real plans for the weekend, except heading to Toronto sunday for a Small Space show - should be much much fun. It's been a long time since I've been to the TO, so I'm excited to go again. Besides that, I have a feeling I'll be sleeping off this head cold. Relaxation is under-rated in my books anyway.
| Brrrr....it's gone from extremely hot to fairly chilly. I should actually say "relatively chilly", as it's still about 20 degrees. But still, that's comparatively cold! I'm not complaining though.
Had a wedding shower this weekend for a good friend in Orkney, Ontario. Lots of fun had by all. Games involving a hot dog and a gatorade bottle....aaand some alcohol. We actually stooped to playing shower games. Nevertheless it ended up being much fun - perhaps largely due to the beverages we all drank. This weekend will be onward and upward to Grand Rapids again.

| Damn the system. I just spent two hours waiting for the local welfare office to pick up the phone so I could make an appointment for a poor unsuspecting homeless person. Literally - I was on the phone from directly after my lunch break to past the time the office closed. What a waste of time for both me and the client.
In other news, it's finally raining over here - it's about time we had a good soaking.
| I'm thinking of you, Sarah, right now. The University radio station is playing Joy Division (Love will Tear Us Apart, in case you're curious). Nothing like some down time to do paper work and listen to the radio. Aaaand, slack a little and browse the internet .
It's still unbearably hot in London - a client told me today that this is the hottest summer in London's record! Needless to say I'm certainly looking forward to the fall. Aaaaahhhh, cool, crisp, fresh air......
